LEGACY TOYS
Multiple Twin Cities locations
A rapidly expanding toy store, Legacy Toys was in need of a unifying vision for their brand and stores. Grounded in the value of 'play,' the owners sought to become an experiential toy store destination. Executing a fine balance of immersive experience, product footprint, brand representation, and store organization, we worked together to conceptualize display themes - both stand alone and end units - that could be replicated across store locations. In building the Legacy Town, I was enlisted to design larger than life transportation, stores, and more that would spark joy and imagination in children and adults alike.

MY ROLE I was enlisted to lay the visual foundation for the brand in stores by creating an expanded color palette and a clear aesthetic across all fixtures and displays. To create continuity and introduce warmth, I designed 'house-shaped' custom wall units and gondola displays that built on the central 'town' theme. To give flight to the imagination and reinforce the existing brand, I chose an airy light blue as the backdrop, with dimensional clouds speckled across the walls. Layered against this backdrop, I developed and designed 7 immersive displays. A bus, a train, a tree house, a market, a pet shop, a candy store, and a larger than life doll house. My designs and directions were sent to a family-owned fabrication shop in China, and shipped by palette months later to be assembled in store.
